Honestly, this hotel is one of the best I've ever been to. I traveled from America, Chicago, looking for a hotel, and a friend recommended this one to me. I can say that everything about this hotel is perfect, from the double bed room to the food and garden. I highly recommend it to others.

My partner and I had a wonderful dining experience together. It was the best I've had in a long time. The atmosphere was lovely, quiet, and intimate. The food was exceptional, with a great variety of flavors and textures in each dish. Sutherland House truly operates at a higher level.

We decided to have our anniversary meal at Sutherland House. The whole experience was excellent, with friendly and prompt service, as well as truly delicious food. It was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. The dairy-free and vegan options were impressive, making it a highlight of our visit to Southwold.

This place is lovely and full of history, located in the town near all that Southwold has to offer. The room was lovely, clean, and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Just a heads up for tall guests in the top rooms to watch out for low ceilings due to historical architecture. Overall, it was a delightful and enjoyable stay.

We had a wonderful Friday night dinner at Sutherland House. It was the best meal I've had in a long time. The service was friendly and relaxed in a welcoming, family-run restaurant. All the dishes we ordered were exceptional, and the location in an interesting historic building added to the experience. I highly recommend Sutherland House.

During our long weekend in Southwold from April 12-15, we had booked the Sutherland House restaurant weeks in advance after reading reviews and learning about their story. The entire experience, from arrival to departure, was superb. The food, service, and banter with Andy, who was a brilliant host, made for a wonderful evening. I would highly recommend it.

Four of us went for a Saturday evening meal at this beautiful old building (the oldest in Southwold). It was well maintained, comfortable, and warm, which was perfect for the windy rainy day in March. While predominantly a fish restaurant, there were options for both carnivores and vegans on the menu. The dishes were tasty, well-prepared, and nicely presented. Although the temperature of the dishes was not as hot as desired, likely due to the chilly evening, the desserts were indulgent and beautifully presented. The host, Andy, was helpful, friendly, and made us feel welcome. The owner, Kinga, also came out after cooking to chat with each table, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a lovely evening in a comfortable setting, worth a visit whether you are in the area or live nearby.

Sutherland House is quite quirky, and it left an impression on me. I was slightly worried about parking in Southwold, but after some shuffling around, I found a spot near The Soul Inn. The check-in process at the hotel went smoothly. Our room, The John Sutherland Suite, was clean and well laid out with separate living and bedroom areas, as well as a newly revamped shower/wet room. The award-winning restaurant was a highlight, and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food prepared by Andy and, more importantly, Kinga. Highly recommended for a unique and quality experience.
